Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition, including 16 Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in a search operation conducted in the stretch between BP 72 and 73 near Yangoubung village area under Moreh Police Station in Tengnoupal district. The recovered arms include one AK47 rifle with Magazine, two 9 mm pistols, each with magazine, 16 IEDs, (destroyed in situ), four detonators, safety fuse, eight batteries, one tactical radio set, Myanmar currency of 16,800 kyats, and first aid kit. On the other hand, security forces on Saturday arrested three active cadres of KCP (PWG) from different locations of Imphal East and Imphal West districts:
They have been identified as Thangjam Yaiphaba Meitei alias Rabi alias Piktru (32) of Yumnam Patlou Mamang Leikai, Imphal East district, who was arrested from his residence; Laitonjam Ramakanta Meitei alias Bothe (35) of Uyumpok Maning Leikai, Imphal East district, presently staying at Khurai Arambam Leirak, Imphal East district, who was arrested from his residence located at Khurai Arambam Leirak, and Thongam Herojit alias Gudupao (39) of Tendongyang Mayai Leikai, Imphal West district, who was arrested from his residence. From their possession, three mobile handsets and two Aadhaar cards were seized. On the same day, security forces also arrested an active cadre of KCP (MFL), namely Telem Priyobarta Singh alias Boy alias Loya (51) of Keishampat Aheibam Leirak from his rented house located at Sagolband Thingom Leikai under Imphal-PS, Imphal West district. From his possession, two mobile handsets and one Aadhaar card were seized.
