Ajay Kumar Bhalla Inaugurates Agrivision Agri-Youth Parliament

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla inaugurated the Agrivision Agri-Youth Parliament – 2026 at the Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, themed ‘Futuristic Agriculture for North East Bharat: Sustainability, Innovations and Opportunities.’ This three-day event focuses on emerging research and advancements in agriculture. The Governor toured exhibition stalls with CAU’s Vice-Chancellor, engaging with participants and showcasing innovations. Key figures included Dr. Anupam Mishra and Dr. Dipjyoti Rajkhowa, with active participation from students, researchers, and entrepreneurs. The Governor released the Souvenir-cum-Abstract Book and emphasized the importance of the Agri-Youth Parliament as a platform for youth and stakeholders to shape agriculture’s future in the North East. He highlighted the region’s natural resources and indigenous knowledge, particularly products like Chakhao, Kachai Lemon, and Tamenglong Orange, which can drive rural prosperity. The Governor called for the integration of traditional practices and modern technology, promoting climate-resilient agriculture and strengthening market linkages. The event aims to establish dialogue and collaboration, fostering sustainable agricultural development in the North Eastern Region.
