AR Celebrates 191st Raising Day at Nambol

Assam Rifles celebrated its 191st Raising Day at Nambol with active involvement of the civil community. The event was attended by officials, troops and a delegation of 15 law students along with one faculty member from the Royal Academy of Law, Oinam, representing different parts of Manipur. The programme began with the screening of a motivational film that showcased the rich legacy, operational ethos and contributions of Assam Rifles. This was followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag and the Assam Rifles flag, accompanied by Salami Shastra, which evoked a strong sense of pride and patriotism among those present. Participants then rendered the Assam Rifles song and raised spirited slogans of “Assam Rifles Ki Jai,” reflecting unity and high morale.

The senior official briefed the gathering on the history, role and operational responsibilities of Assam Rifles, underlining its contribution towards maintaining peace and security in the North East. An interactive session was held between Assam Rifles personnel and the visiting students, covering aspects of internal security, nation-building, opportunities for collaboration with the legal community and career avenues for law graduates, including entry as Judge Advocate General officers in the Indian Army, said a press release of IGAR(S).
