Security forces recovered arms and ammunition from the general area of Dampi ridge under Churachandpur-PS, Churachandpur district. The recovered weapons include two 12 bore rifles, two front loaded single barrel rifles, one modified AK-47, two 9 mm pistols, each with a magazine, three magazines of different arms, four Pumpis, 81 live rounds ammunition of different calibers, seven 12 bore fired cases, two bulletproof jackets, two Walkie-Talkies and pellets (Pompi explosive) weighing 1 kg. Security forces also recovered arms and ammunition in a search operation conducted at Upokpi Khunou Mamang Leikai and adjoining Loktak Lake area under Bishnupur-PS, Bishnupur district. In the operation, they recovered one .32 pistol with magazine, three live rounds of .32 ammunition, one single barrel gun, one H.E. hand grenade, five 12 bore cartridges and blank round. Meanwhile, security forces destroyed three bunkers at Satang Hill range under Sagolmang Police Station, Imphal East district.
