Essential healthcare services reached the remote villages of Molphie and Chongjang in the Tengnoupal district through medical camps organized by the Assam Rifles under Operation Sadbhavana. The initiative was aimed at providing medical support to communities residing in far-flung border areas where access to healthcare facilities is often limited.
A team of doctors and medical staff from Assam Rifles conducted free medical check-ups and consultations and distributed essential medicines to villagers. Special focus was laid on women’s health, maternal care, and treatment of common seasonal ailments. The medical staff also interacted with residents to spread awareness about preventive healthcare, personal hygiene, nutrition, and the importance of regular check-ups for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The camps witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local population, with 835 villagers benefiting, 385 from Molphie and 450 from Chongjang, informed a press release of IGAR(S).
