Assam Rifles organized a spirited ‘Run for Fun’ initiative at Primary School, Kangpat Khullen Village in Kamjong district. The event aimed to promote fitness, discipline and community bonding among the kids. The programme began with an interactive session highlighting the importance of physical fitness and the long-term benefits of an active lifestyle. Students were encouraged to adopt healthy habits, build resilience and nurture self-discipline from an early age. Following this, a lively running activity was conducted where children participated with enthusiasm, showcasing determination, sportsmanship and team spirit. A total of 34 participants including 6 teachers, 12 boys and 16 girls joined the event, making it inclusive and vibrant. Senior officers of Assam Rifles interacted warmly with students and villagers, motivating the youth to pursue their aspirations with confidence and responsibility, said a press release of IGAR(S).
