An awareness programme addressing crime against women and children, linked to the Yaoshang festival, was organized by the Manipur Police in Takyel Khongbal, located in the Imphal West district. This initiative forms part of an ongoing public sensitisation campaign focused on raising awareness about such crimes, particularly during the festival and the preventive measures available. In addition, security forces have been active in conducting search operations and asserting area dominance in known fringe and vulnerable areas throughout various districts. A total of 114 Nakas/checkpoints were established in both hilly and valley regions, with no detentions reported. To ensure the safe movement of essential goods, 102 vehicles were permitted to travel along National Highway 37, under strict security supervision. Enhanced security protocols were implemented in vulnerable locations, with security convoys provided for sensitive parts of the route, facilitating the safe passage of these vehicles.
