A comprehensive RCC Bridge Design Survey was successfully conducted today at the Agah (Ijei) Riverbank in Noney, where the proposed bridge will link NH-37 through Makhuam village. The survey was carried out by a bridge design expert from Guwahati. The design team was accompanied by Gailiangpou Gonmei, Social Worker, and representatives of the Makhuam Village Authority. Notably, the new RCC bridge will bring substantial benefits not only to Makhuam Villages but also to the broader population of Noney District. By improving connectivity across the river, the bridge is expected to enhance commercial activity and support the livelihoods of local residents. According to Gailiangpou Gonmei Social Worker, the foundation stone laying and inauguration are expected scheduled for April 2026, with construction work also anticipated to commence in April this year. The project marks a significant step toward strengthening infrastructure and fostering economic growth in Noney District.
