Candlelight vigil in Guwahati tomorrow to mourn the death of two children in Manipur bomb attack

A candlelight vigil will be held in Guwahati tomorrow to mourn the death of two children in Tronglaobi bomb attack in Manipur. Two children — a five-year-old boy and a six-month-old girl — were killed and their mother was injured when suspected extremists hurled a bomb at their house in the Moirang Tronglaobi area in Bishnupur district on Tuesday. The candlelight vigil will be organised by All Assam Manipuri Students’ Union at 4.30 pm at Rajbari field at Manipuri Basti in Guwahati.

According to the students’ union the event is organized to condole the tragic incident and to pray for the peace of the two children — Oinam Tomthin and Oinam Yaisana. In Manipur, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has demanded justice for the two children, holding the Kuki militants of being responsible for the attack.
