Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh met with Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma and discussed industrial sector in the state. In a post on X, Khemchand said, “Called on by Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries & Steel, Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma Ji, today at the Secretariat.” The Chief Minister said, “The interaction was cordial, productive and forward-looking. I highlighted Manipur’s immense potential in the heavy industry sector, which can significantly contribute to economic growth, industrial expansion, and large-scale employment generation in the State. Hon’ble Union Minister also shared his valuable perspectives and assured continued support for strengthening the industrial ecosystem.”
Khemchand also said, “We remain committed to accelerating sustainable industrial development for the progress and prosperity of Manipur.” Earlier, State BJP President Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi along with party leaders extended a warm and gracious welcome to Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma upon his arrival in Imphal. During his visit, the Union Minister is scheduled to review and inspect key development projects in the State.
