Chief Minister Y Khemchand conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, celebrated under the theme “Rights, Justice, Action for All Women and Girls.” “On this important occasion, we also take pride in recognising the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of the women of Manipur—our mothers, sisters, and daughters—who have long been the pillars of society. From safeguarding our rich traditions and cultural heritage to leading community initiatives and contributing to peace and social harmony, the women of Manipur continue to inspire generations,” Chief Minister Khemchand said in a message. “Let us reaffirm our collective commitment to advancing the rights and opportunities of women and girls, placing them at the centre of our efforts towards sustainable development and inclusive progress. Together, we must further strengthen their role in building trust, peace, and unity among all communities,” the Chief Minister said.
