RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education inaugurated its College Week Celebration 2026 at Asha Jina Complex, North AOC, with a renewed focus on holistic teacher education and professional competence.
The week-long celebration, scheduled from February 25 to March 2, will feature a series of literary competitions, cultural programmes and sports events aimed at enhancing leadership qualities, critical thinking, teamwork and organisational skills among B.Ed. and M.Ed. trainees.
Speaking at the inaugural function, college authority highlighted that co-curricular activities play a vital role in complementing classroom learning by bridging the gap between theory and practice. Emphasis was laid on the School Internship Programme, stating that active participation in College Week equips B.Ed. students with the confidence and practical skills required to effectively manage teaching responsibilities along with co-curricular engagements during their internship and future careers.
For M.Ed. scholars, the celebration offers hands-on exposure to educational leadership, institutional planning and management of academic and co-curricular activities. The programme also encourages research-oriented perspectives in alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020.
Reaffirming its commitment to holistic development, professional excellence and nation-building, the institution expressed confidence that the College Week celebration will help nurture competent and transformative educators for the future.
