To ensure the fair distribution of essential fuels and protect consumer interests, the District Administration of Senapati has officially constituted a District Monitoring Committee following a directive from the Secretariat, CAF&PD, Government of Manipur. The committee is tasked with curbing the illegal hoarding and black marketing of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and other petroleum products across the district.
The committee is comprised of key officials dedicated to maintaining market integrity with B. Ngouning Lawrence, District Supply Officer (9863224255) as Chairman, M. Kaisungbou, MPS, Addl. SP (NH-2) (8729842498) as member and CH. Neli, SDC, Senapati (9436661083) as member.
Under the provisions of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, the committee will execute Regular Inspections for conducting frequent and surprise checks within their jurisdictions to identify and penalize illegal activities; Daily Reporting of Action Taken Reports (ATR) to the Department of CAF&PD and the Ministry, Government of India; and, Public Accountability for ensuring a transparent supply chain for all petroleum products in the district.
