A meeting of the District TB Forum, Thoubal, was convened to review ongoing activities and to discuss measures for further strengthening the functioning of the Forum. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Thoubal, Yumnam Robita, IAS,who is also the Chairman of the District TB Forum, at her conference hall. During the meeting, the District TB Officer, Dr. Shameen, delivered a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the various initiatives undertaken to control and eliminate Tuberculosis (TB) in the district. Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Yumnam Robita stressed the need for active participation and collective efforts from all sections of the district to effectively combat and eradicate TB.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Medical Officer of Thoubal, Dr. Y. Nokul, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Thoubal, Dr. W. Ruhinikumar; District TB Unit Coordinator, Thongam Stephee; and officials including the SDOs, SDCs, and BDOs of Lilong and Thoubal sub-divisions, among others.
