Bollywood actor and entrepreneur Malaika Arora has captivated audiences with her recent dance performances in “Thamma” and alongside Honey Singh. Despite receiving criticism for performing item songs in her 50s, she expressed a sense of empowerment in discussing her experience on The Namrata Zakaria Show on YouTube, highlighting her confidence in embracing this phase of her life.

Malaika asserts pride in owning her image, questioning the necessity of toning it down or feeling apologetic. She expresses confusion over societal reactions, emphasizing that dance is a pure form of expression meant to be enjoyed. At 50 years old, she feels fortunate and believes she is on the right path for being able to continue dancing.

In a recent statement, Malaika expressed that participating in empowering projects feels amazing and aims to inspire other women. She has been integral to some of Bollywood’s most prominent item songs, including notable tracks like “Chaiyya Chaiyya” and “Munni Badnaam.” In 2025, she appeared in the song “Poison Baby” from Maddock Films’ “Thamma,” where she gained attention for outshining co-star Rashmika Mandanna. Following this, Malaika featured in the music video “Chillgum,” showcasing her bold dance moves, which drew mixed reactions online. Despite facing criticism, she has remained resilient against trolling.

Malaika has made headlines not only for her captivating dance performances but also for authoring a book on health and fitness called “It’s Easy To Be Healthy.” Recently, she served as a judge on the eleventh season of India’s Got Talent, where she appeared alongside Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shaan. The show was hosted by Haarsh Limbachiyaa and concluded on January 4, 2026.
