An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast rocked an abandoned house in Saiton area of Bishnupur district in the early hours of Monday, leaving two people—a man and a woman—injured, officials said.
The explosion occurred at around 5:30 am, triggering panic among residents in the otherwise quiet locality. The force of the blast caused significant damage to the deserted structure, with parts of the house reportedly collapsing due to the impact.Soon after the incident, local residents alerted the authorities, following which police and emergency response teams rushed to the spot. The injured individuals were rescued from the site and immediately shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
