The Kargil Braveheart Football Tournament 2025 began on Monday with an opening ceremony at Chandel Christian Football Stadium, attended by community leaders, youth clubs, and football fans. Organized by Assam Rifles under Operation Sadbhavana, in collaboration with the District Sports Association Chandel and supported by the Ex-Servicemen Association of Chandel, the tournament will take place from December 1-8. It features sixteen teams from the district competing for the championship in one of Chandel’s major football events of the year. The tournament honors the bravery and sacrifice of Kargil War heroes, aiming to inspire patriotic pride and promote peace, unity, and youth engagement through sports.
