A poetry book titled “Mahousa,” authored by Khangenbam Sanahanbi, was officially launched at Khorirol Sanglel Wangjing in the Thoubal district. The release event, organized by the women-led literary organization Ningol Khut Manipur Wangjing, featured a poetry recitation program. “Mahousa” comprises 53 poems, marking Sanahanbi’s first contribution to Manipuri literature. Heikham Chaoba Devi, the Secretary of the organization, published the book, which is the ninth title from Ningol Khut Manipur Wangjing. The event was graced by notable figures such as Tongbram Babulal (chief guest), Khundongbam Gunamani Leima (president), Kartik Maiba, and Dr. Yumnam Mahendra Kumar (guest of honours). Renowned writer Shaikhom Chaoba commented on the book, and the event included sessions where over 15 poets recited their work. The speakers expressed optimism that “Mahousa” would encourage more women writers and enrich Manipuri literature, drawing an audience of literary enthusiasts.
