In a continued effort to promote education and foster community engagement, the Centre for Women and Girls (CWG), in association with the Assam Rifles, organized a Library Upgradation Programme under Operation Sadbhavna. The initiative was designed to enhance the learning environment and provide improved infrastructure support for local students of the region.
As part of the program, essential infrastructure items, including book racks and shelves, a cash counter table, an inverter with a battery, display retail shelves, and a lighting signage board with installation, were provided to upgrade the existing library facility. The upgraded infrastructure is expected to create a more conducive atmosphere for learning and to encourage students to make better use of the resources available to them.
The event was attended by representatives of civil society organizations, village authorities, and GUNCHU students, reflecting the collective commitment of the community towards educational development. During the program, Assam Rifles authorities felicitated community representatives, acknowledging their cooperation and continued support in strengthening educational initiatives, said a press release of IGAR(S).
