Police stated on Tuesday that arms and ammunition had been confiscated in Manipur’s Kangpokpi district. They stated the seizures occurred during an area dominance exercise in Aigejang, a mountainous district. One.303 rifle, 9mm CMG with magazine, 9mm pistol, SBBL, two 51mm mortars, two hand grenades, five live rounds of ammunition, and two smoke grenades were seized.
Security personnel carried out a search operations in hill and valley districts’ to control the area. The movement of 194 and 205 cars carrying vital products on NH-37 and NH-2 has been ensured. Strict security measures are implemented in all critical areas, and a security convoy is supplied on sensitive sections to ensure the free and safe passage of vehicles.
In total, 109 checkpoints were constructed across Manipur’s districts. In both the hill and the valley, no one was detained by police for infractions in various districts of the state.
