MLA of Kakching Constituency, M. Rameshwar stated that efforts are being made to transform Kakching into a leading constituency not only in Manipur but across India. The MLA made the statement during the inauguration programme of a newly constructed road built using paver block technology at the Ebudhou Sekmai Ningthou Pareng road in Moirangthem Leikai, Kakching. MLA Rameshwar continued that since being elected as the MLA of Kakching Constituency, significant developmental works have been undertaken in the fields of education, healthcare, road connectivity, and other infrastructure under the BJP-led NDA Government. He appealed to the public to extend cooperation in successfully implementing the various developmental initiatives taken up in the constituency. Speaking at the function, the MLA expressed happiness over the commitment made by Chief Minister Y. Khemchand, who is leading the present government in Manipur, to allocate ₹5 crore each for road development in every constituency of the state. He stated that with such support, major road connectivity projects in the constituency can be completed successfully.
He further mentioned that roads constructed using paver block technology are durable and are expected to last for more than 10 years. Apart from road infrastructure, several other development works are underway in the constituency. A new Ema Market has been constructed and opened for public use, expansion works of the District Hospital are in progress, and under AMRUT 2.0, work orders have been issued to provide potable water to the residents. Construction of a gallery at DSA Ground is ongoing, and a new project has been initiated at Kha Manipur College to upgrade and improve the institution. The MLA also expressed confidence that the BJP-led NDA Government will launch several more development projects within the coming years. He urged the public to cooperate in ensuring the successful implementation of various development initiatives being undertaken in the constituency. The inauguration programme of the newly constructed road was attended by concerned Ward Caretaker Councillor Nongmaithem Narjit and several local residents.
