A three-day Photography and Videography workshop organized by DFO/Chandel under the RAMP initiative concluded successfully with approximately 50 participants from the Chandel district. The event featured Dr. N. Munal Meitei, DFO/Chandel, as Chief Guest, alongside guests Pearson Anal, State Awardee and Secretary of Lambung Village, and S.T. Wanghring, proprietor of Zinnim Enterprise. Dr. Meitei emphasized the importance of community involvement in the development of Chandel, noting that the workshop was part of broader eco-tourism initiatives under RAMP, which included various activities like Home Stay and traditional pottery training. He highlighted that the government cannot provide employment for all, stressing the need for individuals to leverage these training programs to enhance their skills and contribute to regional development. Dr. Meitei also remarked on the innovative training modules aimed at boosting the tourism sector. S.T. Wanghring, reflecting on his own training experiences, urged the community to recognize the potential of Chandel and capitalize on the training opportunities available through the Forest Department to foster development.
