A new branch of Pioneer Academy, a well-known coaching institute for competitive examinations, has been opened in Imphal with the aim of guiding aspirants preparing for various national-level exams. The branch, located near Nityananda Temple on RIMS Road, will provide coaching for examinations such as Staff Selection Commission (SSC), banking, and CUET. The announcement was made by L. Jeenamika during a press briefing held at the academy premises. Speaking at the occasion, Jeenamika stated that Pioneer Academy has produced numerous successful candidates in civil services and other competitive examinations over the past 15 years, and the Imphal branch aims to extend the same quality guidance to local students.
As part of its launch initiative, the academy recently conducted a scholarship test, awarding scholarships ranging from 40 to 100 percent to meritorious students. Another round of scholarship tests offering 20 to 30 percent concessions is also planned in the near future. Additionally, the academy has announced special provisions for internally displaced (IDP) students, with scholarships of up to 30 percent to support their educational pursuits. Faculty member Alina Huidrom highlighted that the institute aims to assist aspiring youth in the state who are striving to secure government jobs, especially at a time when many face challenges due to limited opportunities. The opening of the new branch is expected to provide a significant boost to students in the region seeking quality coaching and guidance for competitive examinations.
