Security forces in Manipur have intensified operations across the state’s hill and valley districts to uphold law and order amid ongoing tensions. The measures aim to ensure the safe movement of essential goods and bolster public safety. Key efforts included escorting 51 and 355 vehicles carrying essential supplies along National Highways 37 and 2, respectively. Sensitive stretches were secured with armed convoys to guarantee uninterrupted transportation.
Authorities have also established 104 Nakas and checkpoints across the state to monitor movement and reinforce vigilance. Despite the heightened security presence, no detentions were reported for violations during these operations. “Maintaining the flow of essential commodities is critical for public well-being. These proactive measures are necessary to ensure safety and address any potential disruptions,” a senior official stated.
The situation remains under close watch, with security forces ready to respond to emerging challenges. The enhanced vigilance underscores the administration’s commitment to restoring stability in the region.
