In a continuous effort to ensure a robust and error-free electoral process, the District Election Officer (DEO)/DC of Senapati Mamoni Doley chaired a high-level meeting with representatives of various political parties at the Video Conference Hall, DC Office. During the meeting, the DEO presented a comprehensive timeline for the Special Summary Revision (SSR) with January 1, 2026, as the qualifying date. For the Inclusive Enrollment, the DEO appealed to political parties to ensure no eligible voter is left behind, specifically targeting those who turned 18 on or before the qualifying date. In ensuring Transparency, Representatives were informed that lists of claims and objections would be available on the CEO Manipur website. Furthermore, the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will provide these updates to parties on a weekly basis.
Appointment of BLAs: The DEO urged all political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) immediately to assist in the field-level verification process. Under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative, the DEO announced an intensive enrollment drive. This will feature: Special camps at local colleges to capture young voters and Booth-level awareness campaigns to educate the public on the importance of an accurate Electoral Roll. The was meeting was followed by a specialized training session for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the 49-Tadubi (ST) Assembly Constituency held at the DC Conference Hall, Senapati. The training was conducted under the supervision of Pf. Lophro, Electoral Registration Officer, 49-Tadubi (ST) AC. The training session focused on the roles, responsibilities and procedures to be followed by BLOs to ensure accurate and error-free data entry of electoral rolls. The training was attended by P.P. Ronald (ADM Senapati), James Panii (AERO/SDO 47- Karong (ST) AC) and Plim Reikhenamai (AERO/SDO 49-Tadubi (ST) AC), who provided hands-on guidance to the BLOs regarding their field responsibilities.
