Security forces recovered arms and ammunition in a search operation launched at Keirak Awang Loukon Chingol area under Kakching-PS, Kakching district. The recovered arms include Amogh Carbine with magazine, two local made lathode guns, two local made single barrels, seven tear smoke shells, three tube launching devices, two .36 HE Grenade with two detonators, 50 rounds ammunition, 100 empty cases, two IDL Explosives with two detonators, two helmets, one BP jacket, and two magazine pouches.
Meanwhile, security forces continued to conduct search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas across districts resulting in recovery of arms and ammunition: A total of 105 Nakas/Checkpoints were installed in different districts, both in the hills and the valley, however none was detained. Movement of 287 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-37 was ensured. Strict security measures were taken up in all vulnerable locations and security convoy is provided in sensitive stretches in order to ensure free and safe movement of the vehicles.
