A Certificate and Appointment Distribution Ceremony for the Security Guard Training Programme took place at the Assam Rifles Skill Development Centre in Imphal, organized by the Homeland Institute of Security Management with the support of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South). Senior Officials and other dignitaries attended the ceremony, where 50 trainees completed the residential program, with 47 receiving their certificates and appointment letters. Notably, three trainees from the Kuki community secured placements in Pune. The program aimed to equip unemployed youth in Manipur with skills essential for the security sector, covering areas such as physical training, security operations, fire safety, first aid and CPR, emergency response, and professional conduct, preparing them for national-level assignments. Since its inception in January 2026, the institute has trained and placed 63 security personnel across India, underscoring the significance of skill development in fostering employment and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities in the region. The ceremony emphasized discipline, professionalism, and integrity within the security profession.
