A special outreach program titled “Viksit Bharat @ 2047 and Nari Shakti through Financial Inclusion” was held at the Laipung Community Hall in Thoubal district, organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Imphal, in collaboration with multiple local women’s organizations. The event featured notable attendees, including Moirangthem PriyaRoshni, the chief guest and Assistant Commissioner, who emphasized the importance of financial independence for women. She noted that understanding and overcoming personal challenges is essential for women to achieve self-sufficiency, particularly in financial matters. The program aimed to disseminate information on various government developmental schemes focusing on health, education, and women’s welfare, all crucial for India’s progression towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, the centenary of independence. Dr. Nongmaithem Reena highlighted the goal of empowering women through education and earning opportunities to boost national development. The event included a quiz competition reinforcing the theme of financial literacy, engaging over 500 women participants from various local groups who received gifts for their participation.
