Marking the 87th Raising Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), several CRPF battalions stationed across Manipur organized blood donation camps at different locations in the state.
As part of the observance, a blood donation camp was held at the 86th Battalion CRPF camp at Lamphelpat, jointly organized by the 86th Battalion and 169th Battalion of CRPF in collaboration with the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal. During the camp, over 67 CRPF personnel donated blood.
Speaking at the occasion, CMO (SG) of 86 Battalion, Dr. Florence Dangmei, said that donating blood is one of the noblest acts of humanity and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of CRPF personnel in the camp. She added that similar blood donation drives are also being organized by CRPF units stationed in different parts of the state.
In another program, a blood donation camp was conducted at RIMS Institute with participation from the 109 Battalion CRPF based at Mongshangei along with other battalions. During the camp, more than 40 CRPF personnel donated blood.
Commandant of 109 Battalion CRPF, Brijesh Kumar, stated that such blood donation camps are being organized not only in Manipur but across India as part of the Raising Day celebrations. He added that the initiative reflects the force’s commitment not only towards maintaining peace and security but also towards contributing to humanitarian causes and supporting the healthcare needs of the public.
He further said that CRPF will continue to organize similar humanitarian programs and health camps in the future to extend support to the people of the state.
