Sandeep Raj, Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser of the Department of Atomic Energy, visited PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) scheme schools in the Kakching district. Accompanying him were education officials and district administration members, including Ng. Bhogendra Meitei, the Director of Education (S), and P. Shantikumar, Additional District Magistrate. During his visit to Kakching Higher Secondary School and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Umathel, Raj inspected the schools’ facilities and later attended cultural performances by students at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. The PM SHRI scheme has selected seven State Government schools and one Central Government school in Kakching, aiming to establish over 14,500 PM SHRI Schools across India. This centrally sponsored initiative strives to create a welcoming and safe learning environment enriched with proper infrastructure and resources to foster diverse educational experiences for all students.
