Districts Mark National Science Day with Exhibitions, Seminars and Student Activities

The observance of National Science Day in Manipur featured engaging programs aimed at promoting scientific temper, creativity, and innovation among students. Organized by the Assam Rifles across Tengnoupal, Ukhrul, and Thoubal Districts, the celebrations transformed schools into lively centers for learning. In Tengnoupal District, interactive sessions at multiple schools involved 120 to 190 students, discussing science’s role in national development, healthcare, and environmental sustainability, complemented by a quiz competition at Netaji School. In Ukhrul District, a drawing competition celebrated Sir C.V. Raman, with forty students expressing scientific concepts through art, underscoring the significance of science in daily life. Thoubal District’s Langathel High School hosted science competitions, including extempore speeches on global warming and presentations of projects, with 67 participants showcasing their innovative skills. Collectively, these initiatives fostered curiosity and inspired nearly 230 to 300 students across various communities.
