Christ King School, located in Chingjaroi Khullen within the Ukhrul district, observed Environment Conservation Awareness Day, an event organized by the Archdiocese of Imphal. The celebration commenced with a poster presentation by students from Class II and III, highlighting the significance of trees, clean water, minimizing plastic usage, and safeguarding biodiversity.
Subsequently, an exhibition was held, showcasing charts, diagrams, and models related to environmental topics. Students engaged with the presenters and posed questions, fostering curiosity and critical thinking regarding ecological matters.
In the afternoon, a rally procession campaign focused on Climate Change and tree plantation was conducted, drawing the attention of local villagers and disseminating the message of environmental conservation. The day concluded with a cleaning drive and tree planting activity, reinforcing the values imparted during the event. The school community remains dedicated to perpetuating these initiatives to cultivate a generation that cherishes and safeguards the planet.
