At least four cadres belonging to KNA-B and the People’s Defense Force (PDF) were reportedly killed in a heavy gunbattle with armed groups based in Manipur along the Indo-Myanmar border in Kamjong district, sources said. According to reports, the encounter took place near Border Pillar No. 90 in the vicinity of the Kabaw Valley, between Namli and Minda villages. The exchange of fire is believed to have started around 5:30 am and continued for a significant period. The identities of the deceased cadres have not yet been officially confirmed. Details regarding casualties or injuries on the opposing side also remain unclear at the time of reporting. Sources indicated that the clash involved armed groups operating from the Manipur side engaging with what were described as “proxy forces,” allegedly linked to KNA-B and the PDF. There are also unconfirmed reports suggesting that some weapons may have been seized during the confrontation, although independent verification is still awaited.
