ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited announced the launch of the BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Index Fund

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance on Thursday launched the BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Index Fund for its Unit Linked Insurance Plans (ULIPs), providing investors a platform to participate in India’s economic growth. The fund mirrors the BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Index, comprising 50 fundamentally strong companies currently trading below their intrinsic value, selected based on earnings, book value, and sales relative to price. The fund follows a systematic, rule-based investment process, reconstituted quarterly to remain aligned with evolving value opportunities across large, mid, and small-cap segments. Historically, the BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Index outperformed its parent index in 12 out of 19 years from 2006 to 2024, underscoring the potential of disciplined value investing.

Speaking on the launch, Manish Kumar, Chief Investment Officer, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, highlighted that the fund offers ULIP customers a transparent and simple way to systematically save, combining wealth creation with life cover to ensure financial security for families.

Financial advisors report growing interest in ULIP-linked index funds, with investors increasingly seeking diversified exposure to value-driven stocks while leveraging the long-term discipline that ULIPs offer. Local brokers note that products like this are expected to enhance investment participation among young professionals and families planning for education and retirement.
