ICICI Prudential Life Launches Youth-Focused Market-Linked Product

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has introduced the ICICI Pru Smart Insurance Plan Plus, a market-linked insurance product designed for young investors seeking affordable, long-term wealth creation solutions. With a starting premium of just ₹1,000 per month, the plan is positioned as a cost-effective and tax-efficient option that also includes life cover for financial protection.

Amit Palta, Chief Product and Distribution Officer at ICICI Prudential Life, highlighted the product’s alignment with India’s youth-driven economic growth, stating, “ULIPs are an effective wealth creation tool. To encourage the youth to start early, we’ve designed this flexible, digital-first product with affordable investments.”

The plan offers 25 fund options and four portfolio strategies, along with free fund switches and no tax implications. A waiver of premium benefit ensures savings goals remain on track even in the policyholder’s absence. The product is expected to resonate well with the city’s growing population of young professionals and early earners, many of whom are increasingly seeking digital-first, low-entry investment solutions.
