According to officials, the Army and other federal and state security services have arrested 23 extremists from various groups and retrieved 40 different kinds of weapons, grenades, ammunition, and other war-related supplies from eight districts in Manipur during a series of coordinated operations. 23 cadres from different militant groups headquartered in the hills and valleys were arrested as a result of the well-coordinated joint operations, according to a defense spokesman. According to him, the districts of Kangpokpi, Thoubal, Kakching, Tengnoupal, Bishnupur, Jiribam, Imphal East, and Imphal West have all seen coordinated activities in recent days.
Specialized resources, such as explosive detection dogs, were employed by the Army during the operations. Self-loading rifles (SLRs), M16 rifles, INSAS rifles, Sten machine guns, .303 rifles, action rifles, double-barrel and single-barrel rifles, mortars, large-caliber launchers, and 9 mm pistols are among the weapons seized in these combined operations. Manipur Police have received the captured militants as well as the weapons, ammo, explosives, and other stuff that were found.
