Indian Army seizes cache of illegal arms and ammunition in Manipur’s Bishnupur district

The Indian Army recovered a large quantity of illegal arms, ammunition, and other war-like stores from the general area of Khujoi Rok Nala near Sadu Kabui Village in the Bishnupur district of Manipur on April 4, 2024.

The recovered arsenal included one 9mm Carbine Machine Gun, one Sten Gun Mk-2, one .303 Rifle, one 9mm pistol, one anti-riot gun, 14 grenades, ammunition, and various other war-like stores.

The operation was launched based on specific intelligence inputs regarding the movement of suspicious individuals and the presence of illegal arms and ammunition in the area. The Indian Army conducted the operation in collaboration with the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Manipur Police, and Commandos.

Following the successful operation, the recovered items were handed over to the police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
