Technology-led manufacturing and innovation will take centre stage as INDIAWOOD 2026 returns from February 26 to March 2 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. Organised by NürnbergMesse India and supported by EUMABOIS, the 26th edition is set to be the largest in the platform’s history.
The biennial exhibition will host over 1,000 brands from more than 50 countries, welcome 90,000+ industry professionals, and span 85,000 square metres—representing a 15 per cent expansion over the previous edition. The scale reflects growing global confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities and aligns with the Viksit Bharat vision focused on advanced manufacturing, exports and global integration.
INDIAWOOD 2026 will highlight the industry’s transition towards Industry 4.0, with exhibitors showcasing automation-led manufacturing, advanced CNC processing, compact and upgradeable machinery, and digital tools for production planning and integration. Advanced surface technologies and nature-inspired materials anging from woodgrains and veneers to fabric-look finishes will address global demand for consistency, durability and design flexibility at scale.
Sustainability-driven innovation will remain a core theme, with certified wood, bio-based adhesives and low-emission products aligned with international standards. The advancing India–EU Free Trade Agreement, described by policymakers as the “mother of all deals”, is expected to accelerate technology inflows and export competitiveness.
Knowledge platforms such as Wood+ in Architecture & Design and the co-located India Mattresstech & Upholstery Supplies Expo further reinforce INDIAWOOD’s role as a catalyst for technology-driven growth across the furniture value chain.
