The first edition of “Rising India, i.e., Bharat” in Tokyo covered in detail the enormous potential for greater bilateral collaboration between India and Japan, which is motivated by shared ideals and economic prospects. Supported by the Japan-India Association and the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, the conclave was one of the first significant India-Japan gatherings held in Japan by Connect India Japan, an initiative that is breaking new ground in bilateral engagement by fusing business and policy discussions with cultural diplomacy.
In order to investigate new areas of cooperation in business, technology, cultural exchange, and diplomacy, the program brought together policymakers, diplomats, corporate executives, and thought leaders from both India and Japan. India’s rapid ascent to the fourth-largest economy in the world was discussed by Kono Taro, a member of the Japanese House of Representatives, who also shared his personal connection to the country’s success.
Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, spoke at a high-level panel discussion about the development and significance of India in the world. With Indian businesses in AI, digital infrastructure, sustainable solutions, and smart manufacturing, the event also showcased India’s corporate outlook. Japanese counterparts looking for trustworthy collaborations attended the event. Along with honoring the victims of the Pahalgam terror incident on April 22, the ceremony highlighted India’s continued struggles and unity in the fight against terrorism.
