Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Thursday chaired a Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat, during which key administrative decisions were adopted for implementation. The Cabinet meeting comprehensively deliberated on key matters of administration and governance with a firm commitment to delivering a more citizen-centric system founded on transparency and accountability.
“Several important administrative decisions were adopted for implementation, reflecting our government’s continued resolve to strengthen policies and practices that promote peace, security, and inclusive development. These efforts remain essential to advancing stability, sustainable growth, and the overall prosperity of our state,” the Chief Minister said.
“Together, we remain dedicated to building a stronger and more progressive Manipur for the welfare of every citizen,” he stated on social media. Meanwhile, representatives of the DMU Students’ Union, accompanied by the AMSU headquarters president called on the Chief Minister at the Secretariat office.
“During the interaction, they apprised me of several important matters concerning student welfare, including issues related to scholarships, the posting of security guards, and the need for further improvement in the overall academic environment,” Singh took to his X handle to state later.
“I appreciated their constructive engagement and assured them that the State Government remains committed to supporting the aspirations of our students. We will extend all possible efforts to address these concerns and continue working towards strengthening a safe, supportive, and progressive academic atmosphere for our youth,” he stated.
