N. Biren Singh, the chief minister of Manipur, strongly threatened organizations that engage in character assassination, extortion, threats against the community, and invasions of privacy. He called out the misuse of social media by persons and organizations posting films that violate people’s privacy and urged them to stop these actions right away. The Chief Minister chastised unapproved organizations for breaking the law by posting footage of people being questioned and threatening people, especially public servants.
He declared that the administration was committed to putting an end to these activities and denounced them as illegal. To address these concerns, he promised, specialized police units will be established. Many arsonists, looters, and destruction mongers implicated in these crimes have been detained, according to the chief minister; some of them were charged under the strict NSA. He cautioned that their actions would leave an enduring stain on history and once more deny them chances in the future, such as government employment.
According to the prime minister, the state administration has resumed its developmental efforts as a result of the slow return to normalcy. An administration with development and restoration goals is reflected in the launch of several projects, including the “Go to Hills” mission. The Chief Minister’s remarks highlight the importance of solidarity, appropriate behavior, and social media usage during delicate times. To ensure that everyone feels safe and secure and that there is an environment of trust and peace, the government addresses concerns such as extortion, privacy violations, and communal threats that are made to all citizens.
