Manipur’s Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Singh conducted an extensive review of the law and order situation in Churachandpur district following the recovery of firearms by security forces. Singh chaired a security review meeting with senior police officers to assess current security conditions, operational readiness, and inter-agency coordination. During his visit, he inaugurated a new conference room at the Superintendent of Police’s office and engaged with civil society representatives to discuss security concerns, public cooperation, and peace initiatives. The DGP’s actions reflect the police leadership’s commitment to ensuring stability in the district. Security forces recovered several weapons, including an AK rifle, an MA-3 MK II rifle, an INSAS rifle, and a .315 rifle, from the Khaopijang village cemetery area. Investigations are ongoing to trace the source of these weapons and those involved in their possession.
