In a significant move benefiting local aspirants, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Selection Post Examination 2025 began today at the IT Centre of Churachandpur Government College. On the first day, 65 candidates appeared for the exam, which will continue at the same venue until August 1.
The inclusion of Churachandpur as an SSC exam centre marks a positive step toward improving access to competitive exams for students, especially those from remote and rural areas. Earlier, candidates had to travel long distances, often spending large sums, to appear for exams in distant cities. With a local centre now available, the process is more convenient and affordable for many.
The exam centre follows the recent inauguration of the college’s IT Centre by Manipur Governor Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, IAS (Retd.), on January 7, 2025. Since then, the facility has grown into a digital education hub and is now playing a key role in hosting computer-based exams.
The district administration has called for public cooperation to ensure a peaceful exam environment. They expressed hope that this development will inspire more students to pursue academic and career opportunities with confidence.
