Expressing joy and giving thanks to the Almighty, the Mao Council on Saturday felicitated Dr. Losii Dikho, Deputy Chief Minister who also holds the PHED, Forest, Environment & Climate Change at Tadubi.
In his welcome address, N. Athikho Joseph, President, Mao Council expressed happiness to have him given the post of Deputy Chief Minister of the state. With the trust from the Union Ministry and the state Govt upon Dr. Losii Dikho, he has been given higher responsibilities in the state.
The Mao Council President lauded the Dy. Chief Minister for travelling to all parts of the state with an aim to bring peace and normalcy in the tense prevailing situation in the state. The council President termed the event as a day to showcase appreciation to his remarkable contribution to the district and the state. The President prays to God to bestow him with heavenly wisdom as he takes the position to serve the people of the state and to grant him long life in his service for the people of the state.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Losii Dikho expressed gratitude for all the generosity shown to him on the day with gifts from different associations, organizations, including the women and students of the Mao community.
The Deputy Chief Minister acknowledged the gathering that he could get the position only through the prayer support of everyone. While stating the ongoing budget session the Manipur Legislative Assembly, the Deputy Chief Minister stated that Manipur Government has been working all out efforts to bring back peace and normalcy in the state, adding the government is dedicated for inclusive development in the state.
Dr. Losii Dikho sought the support and cooperation from all in implementing any developmental projects to be taken up in near future. He reassured to give his service for the welfare of the people as he takes the charge.
Monolith was blessed and unveiled by Rev. A. Pfokrelo, Executive Secretary of Mao Baptist Churches Association (MBCA) at Mao Council Secretariat Complex, Tadubi in the beginning of the program.
Different gifts including certificate.of appreciation, Naga shawls, local cocks, vegetables, fruits, etc. were presented to the Deputy Chief Minister during the program.
Officials from the Mao Council and it’s units from Dimapur, Kohima, Senapati and others were present during the program.
