The Medicity, India’s premier super-speciality hospital chain, unveiled its Doctor’s Day film ‘Honouring the Oath’, reinforcing ethical medical practice as a cornerstone of national healthcare development. Released on National Doctor’s Day 2025, the film is a tribute to doctors who uphold the Indian Medical Council’s Code of Ethics daily, promoting trust and accountability within the medical system.
The film invokes the legacy of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.C. Roy, founder of IMA and MCI, and visually illustrates core ethical principles like non-discriminatory treatment, patient dignity, confidentiality, and compassionate care. “At Medanta, our doctors don’t just take the oath—they live it,” said Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director. The initiative aligns with larger policy goals that aim to improve transparency, patient rights, and ethical standards in Indian healthcare delivery.
Where public-private healthcare partnerships are emerging to fill gaps in infrastructure and services, the film’s message has particular relevance. With rising demand for ethical and specialised care, Medanta’s value-driven positioning is likely to influence consumer choices and strengthen patient outflows from Tripura to tertiary centres like Medanta. This initiative strengthens the alignment between institutional integrity and national healthcare priorities.
