Medanta’s record Q1 FY26 results reflect growing reach

For patients across India’s heartland and Northeast, better healthcare access is no longer just a hope—it’s becoming a reality. Global Health Limited (NSE: Medanta, BSE: 543654), one of the largest private multi-specialty tertiary care providers in North and East India, has reported its strongest-ever first-quarter results for FY26, buoyed by rising patient trust and expanding facilities.

Total income rose 19.1% year-on-year to ₹10,513 million, EBITDA climbed 22.6% to ₹2,553 million, and Profit After Tax surged 49.6% to ₹1,590 million. Occupied bed days increased 13.3%, ARPOB grew to ₹66,584, and both in-patient and out-patient volumes posted double-digit growth. Mature hospitals generated ₹7,006 million in revenue, while developing hospitals jumped 35.9% to ₹3,219 million. International patient revenue increased 33.8% to ₹636 million, with OPD pharmacy sales up 21.6%.

Wwhere specialized medical services are limited, Medanta’s planned Northeast expansion brings optimism. Currently, many residents travel to Guwahati or Kolkata for complex procedures. A Medanta facility within reach could reduce financial strain, keep families closer during treatment, and strengthen local healthcare ecosystems. CEO Pankaj Sahni credited the growth to rising patient volumes and reaffirmed expansion plans, including the newly launched Ranchi hospital and an upcoming 550-bed Noida facility.
