WhatsApp and Instagram faced technical glitches again. The problem started around 12:30 on Wednesday night. Many users notice that they are unable to log in to the web version of WhatsApp. Trying to log in keeps showing ‘a’service not available’ message. Attempting to send a message from the mobile app fails. The problem also occurs on Instagram.
Users could refresh their feed repeatedly but could not see any new posts. Facebook’s service, however, was fine. There are many reported problems related to WhatsApp and Instagram service outages. In early March, Facebook, Instagram, and Meta’s new service Threads also went down for an hour.
Two social media users get messages to log in again. But that didn’t solve the problem. Meta has faced such service interruption issues in the past as well. In 2021, all social media under the Met went ‘down’ due to technical issues. Services were down for about seven hours. After this, various services of Mark Zuckerberg-owned Meta have been disrupted due to technical reasons.
