Norton Motorcycles Reveals Names Of New Models

TVS Motor Company-owned Norton Motorcycles has announced the names of three of its upcoming models: Manx, Manx R, and Atlas, according to Visordown. These bikes will mark the first launches under the company’s ongoing revamp and are set to be fully unveiled soon at the EICMA show.

Reports suggest that the Manx will be a naked motorcycle, while the Manx R will take the form of a sportbike, and Atlas will be positioned as an adventure motorcycle. A fourth model is also in the works, which has been spotted multiple times and is expected to feature a V4 engine, though its official name remains undisclosed. The Manx name has historical significance for Norton, originally used for a single-cylinder model from the 1940s to 1960s, and is expected to be a middleweight sportbike, while the Manx R will be a faired variant. The Atlas name was previously associated with a 1960s parallel-twin model.

While detailed specifications are yet to be revealed, Norton has shared a sketch of its forthcoming supersport bike, showcasing a fresh design language that departs from its traditional styling. Designed by Simon Skinner, Norton’s Head of Design, the new model will be produced at the Solihull plant and is part of the company’s “Resurgence” initiative to redefine its market presence and signal a new era in the brand’s design philosophy.
