Joint Secretary Bhaskar Choradia chaired a review meeting on the PM SHRI Schools in Bishnupur District, emphasizing their role as model institutions for best educational practices. Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam highlighted the importance of assessing progress and discussing achievements, challenges, and strategies for improvement to enhance education quality. A presentation by Khumukcham Renuka, Additional State Project Director, revealed that 15 out of 121 PM SHRI schools in Manipur are located in Bishnupur, serving 6,202 students with 234 teachers. The presentation outlined the implementation of NEP parameters and initiatives like ATAL Tinkering Laboratories to foster innovation and scientific inquiry among students, alongside teacher capacity-building programs through DIET centers. Bhaskar Choradia, following field inspections at local schools, inquired about existing facilities and challenges in scheme implementation. Other officials also participated in the meeting.
