The District Administration Kakching led by Deputy Commissioner Uppuluri Chaitanya, IAS, today chaired a preparatory meeting for the upcoming 77th Republic Day celebrations at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex in Kakching District.
The meeting was attended by the District Level Officers (DLOs) and representatives of the respective government departments. Important agendas, including the responsibilities assigned to the concerned departments in connection with the 77th Republic Day celebrations were discussed at the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by SP Kakching Priyadarshini Laishram (IPS); Additional Deputy Commissioner P. Shantikumar Singh (MCS); SDO Waikhong; AC to DC Kakching; District Level Officers along with representatives of various government departments.
On the other hand, the Deputy Commissioner in a notice informed that the District Transport Office, Kakching District, has been made fully functional with effect from 5 December 5, 2025 at Room Numbers 15C and 18C on the ground floor of the DC Office Complex, Kakching.
The newly operational District Transport Office will provide all services related to driving licences and vehicle registration in accordance with existing rules and procedures.
